The 1st Irish Open Source Technology Conference

The Irish Open Source Technology Conference (IOTC) will be held June 18th-20th in Dublin and promises to be great event! I'll be there to represent EclipseLink and the Eclipse Runtime Project that it's a part of.

I'd been to the Irish Java Technology Conference last year which was also organized by Barry Alistair at IrishDev.com and so I know IOTC will be great. The conference venue was great, the speakers were top shelf (IMHO), and the Irish beer at the The Church was wonderful.

This year they'll be doing live streaming of sessions so if you can't make it to Dublin you can still "attend" sessions. Unfortunately the technology does not yet exist to stream the beer you should enjoy after a long day at the conference. ;-)

When you make it to IOTC in Dublin (June 18th – 20th ) and be their another day you may see a lot of naked people there. Spencer Tunick will be in Dublin June 21th for a new installation. Best of all: You can participate.

Hmmm. Group nakedness in Dublin doesn't sound like something I'd normally participate in. But as I said the beer is awfully good and too much of it is known to relax one's inhibitions. ;-)

Who am I kidding--I'm sticking with software and leaving Art (and public nudity) to the professionals.

Great Post. Thanks for that. Always technology conferences would be very informative. I like attending conferences very much. Especially the computing conferences held online. I recently attended a cloud computing conferences, which is the 2nd Annual Virtual Conference on Cloud Computing! It is hosted online March 23-25, 2009.
